The ventilation in poultry houses were disabled for five and a half hours, and the temperature there soon reached 45 degrees, which in turn caused the death of birds. Kyiv Post: Twenty-seven injured in Dnipropetrovsk bombing, 25 of them hospitalized
27 People were injured in four coordinated blasts in the city of Dnipropetrovsk today. The explosive devises were said to be placed in garbage cans across town. As of this time no one has claimed responsibility for the bombings, however, the explosions happening in Dnipropetrovsk of all cities suggest perhaps a violent continuation of a prolonged political conflict between pro-western Yulia Tymoshenko and her Russia oriented counterpart and current president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.
Dnipropetrovsk is the home town of Yulia Tymoshenko and there have been suggestions that the bombings are a direct response to mistreatment of Yulia, currently in jail on corruption charges.

Ukraine will never break free from Russia. Geography rules and, given the fact that the EU is dying, Ukraine has little option. But, because Russian gas keeps Europe warm, Ukraine can and probably will be used by Russia to break Europe into capitulation as soon as it gets really cold. -- MCR
