Medical Corps' Combat / Field Medicine School
Medical Corps first introduced Combat Medicine (Medical Response in Hostile Environments) to the public in 1995. Until Medical Corps, the public did not have access to the principles and discipline which is the standard of Navy Medicine.

In its simplest, good medicine is the care of the sick and injured. And the paradigm to accomplish this is, doing what needs to be done, when it needs to be done.

Medical Corps' Field Medicine course is an intense, 3-day classroom and field training program, designed to provide students with hands-on training.

The hands-on course teaches:

* suturing and minor surgery
* bandaging wounds and lacerations
* medications
* sterile procedure
* Nuclear, Biological and Chemical preparedness
* fracture management & casting, and
* dental emergencies, temporary fillings and recementing crowns

The course is sponsored and taught by Medical Corps instructors.
