In one of the largest ever demonstrations against Walmart, thousands of people marched through L.A.’s Chinatown on Saturday to demand the corporate behemoth provide living wages and better benefits.

An estimated 10,000 people, comprised of union, clergy, and community organizations, amassed in Los Angeles State Historic Park and then marched to a rally at Cesar Chavez and Broadway boulevards.

The protest was one of 50 similar events nationwide as Walmart prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary next week.
