-- TEPCO has been nationalized by a government sinking in debt. The radiation levels at reactor 2 are so high that they disable all robots sent near it and Japanese officials have acknowledged that machines capable of that kind of exposure have not even been designed yet. Only a universal empathic awareness that Fukushima is a human problem can open the door to preventing a mass extinction event. The only way to approach the problem now is for every nation to work together. Anything less is futile. -- MCR
