Syrian army pounds Homs; Annan in Moscow

"In a statement ahead of Sunday's meeting between Annan and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, the Kremlin said it would be hard to enforce a halt to the violence 'until external armed and political support of the opposition is terminated'".

-- In other words, until the U.S., KSA and Israel stop meddling, there will be no intervention. The U.S. and Israel are being pushed back everywhere they stick their heads up. And we have had frightfully little news out of Afghanistan for the past few days. The Arab summit starts in Baghdad in five days where Syria will be the central focus and Baghdad will be a tinder box, awaiting the first spark. Pray that something positive comes from the summit to weaken the west's grip on the region. -- MCR
