Theft leaves 900 without phone or internet for up to two weeks

The epidemic continues to spread.  Infrastructure scavenging is a growing business.  The United Kingdom is responding with an intensive crackdown by pursuing harsher penalties for convicted metal thieves.

"Operation Coin is an ongoing initiative to stop metal thieves in the county and has so far been successful in preventing and detecting offenses.  Since it started, more than 2,000 vehicles have been stopped and 50 people arrested..."  

This is reminiscent of the crackdown on the rioters in London last month...  the UK is not doing so well.   People are getting desperate.   -- Luis Mora, Editorial Committee
