Techdirt: EU Officials Propose Internet Cops On Patrol, No Anonymity & No Obscure Languages (Because Terrorism!)
Back in February [Techdirt] wrote about the ominously-named "Clean IT" project in Europe, designed to combat the use of the Internet by terrorists. At that time, [they] suspected that this would produce some seriously bad ideas, but a leaked document obtained by EDRI shows that these are actually much worse than feared, amounting to a system of continuous surveillance, extrajudicial removal of content and some new proposals that can only be described as deranged. Here's EDRI's summary of the central issue: "The leaked document contradicts a letter sent from CleanIT Coordinator But Klaasen to Dutch NGO Bits of Freedom in April of this year, which explained that the project would first identify problems before making policy proposals. The promise to defend the rule of law has been abandoned. There appears never to have been a plan to identify a specific problem to be solved -- instead the initiative has become little more than a protection racket (use filtering or be held liable for terrorist offences) for the online security industry."

TG Daily: PC rental companies spied on customers in their homes
Seven rent-to-own companies and a software developer have settled federal charges that they spied on customers, including watching them having sex. The companies captured screenshots of confidential and personal information, logged keystrokes and took webcam pictures of people in their homes. Their aim was to track the computers belonging to costomers who were behind with their payments. ... It's not the first time that a rental company has come under fire for using PC Rental Agent in this way. Last year, a Wyoming couple sued rental company Aaron's after discovering that their PC had been taking webcam pictures of them at home.

Syndey Morning Herald: US Military Designates Julian Assange an "Enemy of State"
The U.S. military has designated Julian Assange and WikiLeaks as enemies of the United States -- the same legal category as the al-Qaeda terrorist network and the Taliban insurgency. Declassified U.S. Air Force counter-intelligence documents, released under U.S. freedom-of-information laws, reveal that military personnel who contact WikiLeaks or WikiLeaks supporters may be at risk of being charged with 'communicating with the enemy.'

11-59.com/blog-posts: Whistleblowers- genuine, or disinformation agents?
Whistleblowers, or just Disinfo Agents? A discussion of whistleblowing vs. disinformation, what they are, how the disinfo's done. Quotes Kerry Cassidy of Project Camelot (and I've often wondered just how reliable the sources interviewed at Project Camelot actually are, and what is the likelihood that website itself a Psy-op, and the bad guys are so bold now they're just "outing" themselves and their m.o.s?) The Truth or not the truth, or maybe a bit of both … Over the years I have seen and heard many whistleblower reports on several diverse subjects. While most of them appear to be well meaning, sincere and supported by their insider position, or occupation, it is often challenging to corroborate the information they bring. Kerry Cassidy, of Project Camelot often refers to the process of substantiating evidence as ‘triangulation’ meaning the cross referencing of information by at least 2 other sources to provide evidence that ‘stand up’ I assume this also refers to the ‘law of 3 witnesses’ or agreements, in occult practice. The whole area of whistle blower evidence presents a problem to the unbiased observer looking for reliable information. If they are interested, sympathetic or fanatical...

New York Times: Latest Word on the Trail? I Take It Back
Media censorship.
It was difficult to find a news outlet that had not agreed to quote approval, albeit reluctantly. Organizations like Bloomberg, The Washington Post, Vanity Fair, Reuters and The New York Times have all consented to interviews under such terms.
Many journalists spoke about the editing only if granted anonymity, an irony that did not escape them. No one said the editing altered the meaning of a quote.

FOX News: Stock up and fill those freezers - Current US drought to cause rapid food inflation.
FOX News VIDEO: tells viewers to "Stock up and fill those freezers." warning viewers that the drought conditions now being experienced will cause rapid inflation in the cost of food.
NOTE: Collapse Net Staff - the original article title was "Drought now grips more than half of US" I modified it due to the fact that most are saturated with news of the drought, and will in all likelyhood pass the real news to redouble all efforts to PREP for the oncoming collapse of the US food market.
