Reflections on Collapse #14– T-O-A-S-T – Another Way to Say Fukushima

I have to start of this entry by going back to Fukushima. A China Syndrome event appears to be underway and it is clear that the situation in Japan is more out of control than at any point since the earthquake and tsunami struck. Also, more out of control now is the media blackout being tightened over the last week.

This story              _---dwas Home Page Breaking news earlier this week. With everything else occurring now, Fukushima is still the most important story out there. I repeat the alert I issued right after the earthquake to obtain Potassium Iodide. (We were the first news entity to recommend that.) If you do not have any, get it now. Just Google it.  If the core at Fukushima continues to melt down and fracture the earth, increasing streams of pressurized, highly radioactive steam will be injected straight up into the stratosphere and into the Jet Stream. It's already happening. As soon as you have watched this video, go watch the additional   linked video about the amounts of very hot radioactivity reaching Toronto last week as a result.

The Toronto video is especially credible and self-confirming because the instruments are in front of the camera throughout. Sing praise for the clear-headed man who made it.

As we approach the end of the dry season in Sebastopol, I fear for what will happen come the rains. I can no longer pluck food from the garden and eat it right there.  It's just not safe. Now, every crop must be washed and I am hearing reports from neighbors that a significant number of mutant vegetables are starting to appear at locals’ farms. We had a bizarre cross between a cucumber and a watermelon show up. But thank God we have a well and that water is safe. It is apparent that all crops grown in North America should be thoroughly washed before being eaten now. I don't think agribiz will bear the expense. So now we can expect the radiation contamination that is reaching the Japanese people will be our curse as well. And if the China Syndrome event continues, I will repeat what I wrote just two days after the earthquake... all of the Fukushima reactors would be doomed to the same fate, especially if the core reaches a water table and splits the water molecules into Hydrogen and Oxygen, the same explosive mixture used in rocket fuel. That would be six cores reaching down instead of one.

The total media blackout around this is a sign that we have gone past the point of no return. It's the long established policy of not even attempting to warn people in major cities of a nuclear attack applied to all of us living under the same skies, and on the same planet as Japan. If we hope to survive, the most-important imperative is to shut down all nuclear reactors everywhere ASAP, before the ability to do so vanishes in economic and social collapse.

MY NAME

My little “Network”-style window screaming is reaching where I had hoped. My audience was not only my generation of decrepit, spoiled, hypocrites but especially the under 30s. There seems so little we can do now and we hope for a shot in the dark to hit target, a Hail Mary pass to complete.

The most important task is for our issue, our cause, our existence to be seen. Because once it is seen and we are acknowledged then the mainstream and the pols will have to see the reality they have created and the horrors of overpopulation and resource depletion. They will have to instantly admit their own culpability.

I am very pleased with the response and no, I don’t expect a sudden volte face. But if we sink into global civil unrest, the ability to do anything about anything will go right along with it. I am so relieved to see that the rioting has subsided, if only for a moment, over the last five days. I have to be honest and say that if I were under 30 I would be doing everything I possibly could to bring the system down. But, at this hour, the only thing I can see that would work is to kill the global economic paradigm. Because until that happens nothing else can be done except on the individual lifeboat and community level.

Thank you all for your great and appreciative comments. I don’t worry about the nitpickers. I absolutely needed to let that out and – as far as most of you seem to think -- you needed it too. Special thank to all the veterans who have sent words of encouragement.

NEXT WEEK

I see no let up. As the human race sprints towards war there will be no let up in the economic slide I saw coming in April. Right now, it looks like it will resume Monday right where it left off. All that remains is for someone to officially pronounce the EU Dead On Arrival. And hey, we might see $2,000 gold by the end of next week. I missed it by eight months.

I give it maybe two weeks before other countries start to yank their bullion deposits and that will completely unravel the gold bubble.

Here’s a rhetorical question. What do you think will happen when the last hologram of financial stability vanishes, when the last foundation stones are yanked away?
